Trainee Electrical Estimator – G&A Barnie Group Ltd, Wick

Full Time Position

Locations: Wick / Inverness / Aberdeen

Salary: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Job Description:

As a Trainee Electrical Estimator, you will be an integral part of the estimating and project management team. This role offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and gain valuable skills and knowledge in the field. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting senior estimators with the preparation of detailed estimates for electrical projects.
  • Analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand project requirements.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimates.
  • Learning to use estimating software and tools effectively.
  • Assisting in the development of competitive and comprehensive bids for new projects.
  • Participating in bid review meetings and presenting your estimates to the project team.

Qualifications & Key Skills

  • A strong interest in electrical systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems. (experience is a plus but not required).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
