Scottish Golf Young Leaders’ Programme 2024
Scottish Golf is delighted to announce the launch of an innovative, new programme designed to encourage young adults, aged 16 to 24 years old, to make a meaningful contribution to the development of golf throughout Scotland.
Running from January 2025 to September 2026, the Young Leaders’ Programme aims to give young adults a platform to make a positive difference within the sport, whilst providing them with learning and development opportunities within golf which reflect their own abilities, interests and passions.
Scottish Golf believes that young golfers within the community have unique experiences in golf and their voices offer a fresh perspective and new ideas to help steer and positively influence the future golf landscape for young people.
Through peer-to-peer knowledge-sharing and learning, the young participants will develop confidence, as well as interpersonal and leadership skills, enabling them to influence positive change in golf.
Over the two years, participants will research, develop and deliver a national project on key themes relating to their passion for golf, whilst collaborating with golf clubs and associated partners.
Themes such as Leadership, Golf for Everyone (Inclusion and Equality), Raising the Profile of the Game, and Workforce and Careers have been identified and will support Scottish Golf’s strategic objectives.
If you are passionate about golf, and would like the opportunity for self-development whilst striving to influence and instil positive change in golf, then Scottish Golf want to hear from you.
