Job Purpose
RSE is delighted to welcome applications for our Electrical Apprentice intake 2024 across our Muir of Ord and Dalgety Bay locations. This is an exciting opportunity for apprentices to join one of the industry’s leading engineering businesses, who are truly innovative in their solutions to the water industry.

The closing date for applications is Friday 24th May 2024, and we will be conducting the first series of interviews in June. We will then select a number of applicants to progress to second stage interviews, including a practical assessment.
Following the interview process, placements will start in Aug/Sept 2024.
What will I learn?
- Install cable containment systems to a high standard of safety.
- Install, gland, terminate cable systems mainly used in the industrial sector to BS7671 and supplied drawings.
- Install electrical equipment to BS7671 and to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Work at height to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures (using appropriate safety equipment and adhering to safe working procedures).
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
What qualification or qualities are required?
Ideally candidates will have Nat 5 in Maths/Application of Maths, Nat 5 in English and Nat 5 in a Science subject.
