At DYW, we have witnessed the positive impacts of work inspiration and preparation activities. By engaging with young people in schools and colleges, businesses and organisations can help young people to understand and develop the skills needed to succeed in the workplace, adding relevance to their academic work and raising their career aspirations. Engagement with education can also benefit businesses and organisations by providing access to a diverse pool of future talent, enabling industry to take a lead role in inspiring young people and shaping the future workforce. 

What You Will Learn

This free training workshop is designed to support individuals who currently engage with or would like to engage with young people in schools and colleges. The workshop aims to increase  confidence in discussing your industry with young audiences, and provide you with top tips on planning and delivering activities in schools or colleges.

By the end of the session you will:

• Have increased confidence in delivering sessions to inspire young minds.
• Understand the types of activity that can be offered, and how to connect with education.
• Know what to expect when delivering a session.
• Explore practical hints, tips and solutions for planning and delivering activities in schools or colleges.
• Understand how employers can benefit from engaging with education.
