There are many ways in which we can team up with Educators to provide the best experiences and opportunities to our young people. The DYW programme supports young people from Primary, Secondary and into further education and we’re always pleased to hear from educators of any kind so please get in touch if you’d like to discuss collaboration opportunities.
Educators are encouraged to sign up to Marketplace, a digital platform which connects schools with employers. Employers from all over the country will upload opportunities they can deliver to your pupils and once you’ve signed up, you can reach out to them to accept their offer and book it for a time which suits your class or group of students. These sessions can be virtual or in person. Read more about Marketplace and sign up for a free account here. Additionally, we’ll often use #MarketplaceMonday as an opportunity to advertise interesting Marketplace opportunities to young people, their parents & carers and you as educators so make sure to checkout our Facebook, Twitter & Instagram to keep up to date with the latest news.
In 2021, we were thrilled to welcome 5 School Coordinators to our team. These coordinators are based within secondary schools in the North Highland region. We introduced them as part of the 2021 #NoWrongPath campaign and they’ve been working hard to identify the support that’s required and how best to deliver it.
The School Coordinators will help us delver the Young Person’s Guarantee and will work in partnership with various agencies and support organisations to offer the best support and events we possibly can to young people in North Highland.
You can reach out to the School coordinators using the details on the Contact Us page.
