Caithness Jobs and How to Get Them – A Resounding Success!
On Saturday, 8 February 2025, over 350 people attended Caithness Jobs and How to Get Them at the ETEC Building, UHI North, West and Hebrides, Thurso, making it one of our most successful events yet! As the North Highlands’ largest and most comprehensive job, career, training, and recruitment event, it continues to provide invaluable opportunities for individuals at all stages of their career journey.
A huge thank you to the 50+ businesses, organisations, employers, and educators who took part. Your contributions made a real impact, offering guidance, connections, and career pathways for job seekers and those looking to upskill.
On the day, attendees had the opportunity to:
- Connect directly with local and national employers across diverse industries.
- Discover live job opportunities and learn what skills are in demand.
- Gain practical insights into training programmes, apprenticeships, and career pathways.
- Hear from industry leaders about their sectors and current vacancies.
- Take part in a CV workshop for expert advice on job applications.
This collaborative event was made possible by Caithness Chamber of Commerce’s Developing the Young Workforce North Highland (DYW North Highland) initiative, in partnership with Focus North, Jobcentre Plus, UHI North, West and Hebrides, Skills Development Scotland, and The Highland Council.
